When leaders learn how to abide in and surrender their call, gifts, and ministry to Jesus Christ, they bear much fruit. (John 15). The Lord has made it clear that the Anglican expression of the Church in North America needs to continue to expand through preaching the gospel, making disciples, building local congregations, church planting, and developing gospel leaders. ALI seeks to promote healthy gospel growth in the lives of Anglican leaders in order to promote healthy gospel growth in the Church.

ALI creates space for leaders to interact with other leaders representing different missional areas of North American Anglicanism. Participants are nominated because their Bishop or Rector believes they desire to see the Anglican expression of following Christ lived out in a way that keeps the Church missional in focus, charitable in action, and uncompromising in orthodoxy. Leaders are invited to engage with like-minded leaders, share best practices, and pray and worship together as they are challenged to grow in the midst of beauty, solitude, and recreation.

Recent research shows that two-thirds of leaders within the church do not sustain long-term leadership initiatives, but rather shrink back to a position of maintenance or survival. ALI seeks to provide informal and formal leadership resources, ministry resources and coaching to better equip leaders on the frontline of ministry to remain committed, encouraged, and enthusiastic about gospel ministry. ALI seeks to help leaders grow in spiritual authority and improve the quality, joy, satisfaction, and organizational capacity of their leadership.
